1. Thesis research – proposed a cognitive model of programmers during
program debugging in a multi representation IDE. This model was empirically
evaluated by conducting eye tracking based study of subjects and further
supplemented by interviews and retrospective think aloud.
Tools/Technologies: VB.Net, Java, jGRASP IDE and Tobii T120 eye tracker.
2. Designed and administered surveys, interviews to students from multiple
universities across the US and later analyzed data by conducting quantitative
and qualitative analysis. This research intends to refine & evaluate a new
“studio-based” pedagogy that actively engages students in collaborative,
design-oriented learning.

Parking Rummage iPhone Development | Summer 2010
Developed an iPhone app to resolve the parking space chaos in Auburn
University, by locating the nearest empty parking lot based on real-time data. This
app was featured in the fall edition of Auburn Engineering Alumni Magazine.
Ant Food Collection with Genetic Algorithm Artificial Intelligence | Fall
2009
A GUI based simulation that mimicked the process of food collection by ants,
based on our genetic algorithm.
Design and
evaluation of a Recommender system Human Computer Interaction
| Spring 2009
Designed the interaction & interface elements to allow easy articulation;
designed the underlying computation elements to collect & use user-specific
data to develop recommendations. Task analysis & cognitive walk-through
were used to evaluate the prototype.
Artificial Bot Counselor User Interface Design | Fall
2008
Developed a web based tool, to train Counseling Psychology students basics
of a counseling session. Used contextual enquiry and design in the initial
phases and later conducted heuristic evaluation.
